Possible Road Delays - A33/South Drive Junction

On 2nd July 2020, approval was given for the commencement of improvements to the A33/South Drive junction. Work is due to commence on the 27th July 2020 for an approximate duration of 14 weeks. The expected duration of the works has increased due to the change in working practices required by the contractor to be "COVID safe".
Whilst efforts will be made to minimise the impact of the scheme on A33 traffic, with much work completed under minimal traffic management, mainly off-peak traffic signals where required with a period towards the end of the works of approximately 3 weeks when traffic lights will need to be in operation 24 hours a day. Up to 5 nights of road closures will be required to complete surfacing operations and a signed diversion route will be in place during these times.
