Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, proposes to make the following Order:-

Reason for Order: The Council are satisfied that traffic on the road should be restricted or prohibited because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road.

Effect of Order:  All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along Cufaude Lane, Bramley, at the junction with The Street for 618m south, as directed by traffic signs.  The closure is for Openreach repairs.

Duration of Order: The order will come into effect on 14 September 2020 for 3 months. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected the closure will be 5 days only during this period)

Alternative Route:  Vyne Road, Elm Road, Aldermaston Road, Ringway North, A33 Reading Road, Hanmore Road or by this route reversed.

Works location: Bramley Lane (70m from junction), Sherfield Road (50m east & west of railway level crossing) 

Works description: Highway junction improvements to Bramley Lane & Sherfield Road, Bramley. Widened junction bellmouth, construct new footways, carriageway resurfacing, new refuge island, road markings & signs. Proposed works phasing and traffic management is subject to requirements from Network Rail 

Responsibility for works: Hampshire

On 2nd July 2020, approval was given for the commencement of improvements to the A33/South Drive junction.  Work is due to commence on the 27th July 2020 for an approximate duration of 14 weeks.  The expected duration of the works has increased due to the change in working practices required by the contractor to be "COVID safe".

Whilst efforts will be made to minimise the impact of the scheme on A33 traffic, with much work completed under minimal traffic management, mainly off-peak traffic signals where required with a period towards the end of the works of approximately 3 weeks when traffic lights will need to be in operation 24 hours a day.  Up to 5 nights of road closures will be required to complete surfacing operations and a signed diversion route will be in place during these times.

Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, proposes to make the following

Order:-
Reason for Order: The Council is satisfied that all traffic be prohibited from proceeding along Oakmead, Bramley to facilitate a construction works access site.
Effect of Order:
Closure - All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along Oakmead, Bramley from a point 34m north of its junction with the Street northwards for a distance of 30m, as indicated by traffic signs
Duration of Order: The Order will come into effect on 2 October 2014 for 12 months. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will take place from 2 October 2014 to 31 March 2015).

The exemptions under S 87 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and The Road traffic exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and amendment) Regulations 2011 apply to this order.

THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL (REMEMBRANCE DAY SUNDAY) (READING ROAD, SHERFIELD ON LODDON) ORDER 2014

Notice is hereby given that the Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 made an Order the effect of which will be to close to all vehicular traffic including pedal cycles the road described in the below schedule and on the date and time as shown on the below schedule. 

The reason for the closure is to facilitate the holding of the Sherfield on Loddon Remembrance Day Sunday Service as the road will be thronged and liable to be obstructed. 

The road will remain closed whilst the parade is in progress.  

Diversion Route – North along A33 to Roundabout and left into village
