County council to re-open HWRCs

On Monday 11 May, Hampshire County Council will re-open its Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs), including the facility at Wade Road in Basingstoke.

The HWRCs were temporarily closed at the end of March following government guidelines on non-essential journeys to help prevent the spread of coronavirus. For more information on the re-opening of the county council's HWRCs, including the measures that will be in place, click on the button below.

Support for rough sleepers

Rough sleepers and those at risk of rough sleeping continue to be supported following the outbreak of COVID-19, thanks to the Basingstoke and Deane Social Inclusion Partnership.

Bringing together the council, housing providers, voluntary organisations and faith groups, the Social Inclusion Partnership has been working to ensure safe and secure places are offered or available to rough sleepers alongside continued support.

If you are concerned that a person may be rough sleeping, please contact Streetlink by calling 0300 500 0914 or visit their website using the button below.
